The Work Rehabilitation program is an extension of the employment opportunities
NCI offers as part of the Wellbriety mission. This particular form of assistance
is designated for the individuals who have some volunteer work and/or completed
an NCI program, while trying to work their way into today's job market.
Work Rehabilitation also helps with the other facets of
life. In conjunction
with job services, it assists in other areas that come along with the job. These
facts include but are not limited to living arrangements, continuing education,
time management, professional relationships, etc.
Our particular form of supportive employment is
a temporary stint. That may be as
short as three months or as long as six months. All compensation and hours, regardless
of experience or qualifications, is to be at the minimum wage with a maximum of
40 hours per week.
Objective:
 | To assist
with any educational aspirations an individual may have, whether it be
obtaining a GED (General Education Diploma), preparing for the ASVAB (Armed
Service's Vocational Aptitude Diploma), or obtaining a college degree. |
 | Provide
educational and fundamental workshops that develop an individual's ability
to create a resume, complete a job application, seek employment, and any
other means pertaining to an individual's job searches outside the facility.

 | To
place an individual in a full-time position, upon the completion of their
work rehabilitation done with NCI, somewhere in the working world. |
Eligibility
Any NCI client
that has:
Completed two
cycles of the 1st Step program (30 days) or any other NCI program with no PC
admissions within that period
(OR)
Is on the
shelter status with at least 30 days volunteer work with no PC admissions during
that time frame.
Job Placement
As part of an individual's rehabilitation, he/she is to be placed in an area of
particular interest at the position that best correlates his/ her
qualifications.
