Food services at NCI include 3 meals, and 2 snacks per day for our Relatives.  The average capacity per month varies between summer and winter months.  In winter, average meals served per month is about 26,000. In the summer months, that number drops between 20,000 and 24,000 meals per month.  All meals and snacks are prepared according to the USDA guidelines.  Our Cafeteria can seat 120 clients at one time. The kitchen is small in consideration of how many meals are served, and includes 4 ovens, one walk-in fridge, and is fully supplied. Average capacity per meal is 200 clients for breakfast, 160 clients for lunch, and 120 clients for dinner.

Dietary services is staffed with 1 full-time lead cook, and 2 full time cook assistants.  All other volunteer work is provided by: clients/relatives, Community Service workers, HBS, DWI, JTPA, and DVR.  Food services usually rotate 20 Relative volunteers weekly.  If you have any questions that need Arlen's attention please call ext. 105.
