Board of Directors
■ Received certification and a degree from the University of New Mexico in the field of Human Services.
■ Coordinates processes and service improvements for NCI.
■ Direct oversight of 64 employees, 5 dept. Directors and 4 grant programs.
■ Came to NCI in 2008 on consultancy basics and was awarded the leadership position by unanimous decision of the Board of Directors of NCI.
■ More than 20 years of experience in recovery programs development, and direct services in operations of substance abuse and chemical dependence programs.
■ Leadership training has included mentoring relationships, addiction professionals, employee assistance programs, social health organizational & other helping professions & education in the interest of learning about and working with substance abuse over time.
■ Certification attachments for clinical supervision, motivational interviewing, co-occurring disorders related to mental health & substance abuse; ethics & leadership training.
■ Was the lead Counselor for McKinley County DWI Drug Court Program Outpatient services, a drug court mandated treatment & education program for first time DWI offenders.
■ Past Director of Services for the Juvenile Substance Abuse Crisis Center (JSACC) a grant funded program established as a Detox & outreach for substance abusing youth, JSACC is the bridge for recovery for youth.
